We are excited to welcome our family and close friends to a weekend (Friday, September 1st to Sunday, September 3rd, 2017) in Waskesiu, Saskatchewan! If you have received a paper invitation from us (or we have invited you personally), we would like to see you there!

Our wedding will be held on September 30th, 2017 in Kleinburg, Ontario at the McMichael Gallery. Please see the following website for more information on this event.

Location and Accommodations

Our events will be held in the Town of Waskesiu (located within the Prince Albert National Park) and at the Elkridge Resort (located just outside the Park).

Prince Albert National Park is located 80 km (50 mi) north of Prince Albert via Highways 2 and 263 which enters the park at its southeast corner. Two additional secondary highways enter the park: No. 264, which branches off Hwy. 2 just east of the Town, and No. 240, which enters the Park from the south and links with 263 just outside the entry fee-collection gates.

Accommodations are available in the Town, Waskesiu Campgrounds, and with the Resort. The immediate families of Scott Franks and Audra Ranalli will be staying in cabins at the Resort. You are welcome to join Scott and Audra either at the Resort, by booking a cabin or a room in the lodge, or to seek accommodations in the Town (we have stayed at and enjoyed the Hawood Inn).

If you choose to stay in the Town, we recommend that you bring your car, which will allow you to leave the Park so that you can visit the Resort. We also recommend that you order a Parks Canada Discovery Pass, which will give you or your family free access to the Park.

Events and Activities

The Park has many activities, which we encourage you to enjoy. Currently, we are in the process of planning a schedule for the afternoon and evening of Friday, September 1st, and Saturday, September 2nd. If you have a suggestion, please let us know by contacting us, below.

Tentatively, we are planning for everyone to arrive on Friday by late afternoon for a welcome barbeque. This will allow everyone to introduce themselves, have a bite to eat, and settle in to their accommodations. For this reason, we recommend that you arrive in Saskatoon either the night before (Thursday, August 31st) or the morning of September 1st. It may take you around 3 hours to drive from Saskatoon to Waskesiu (You can expect the highway north to Waskesiu to be busy because it is a long weekend)

On Saturday morning, a small contingent of Ranallis will be golfing at the Resort – if you would like to join them for their 7:30 a.m. tee time, please contact the Resort Golf Club as soon as possible (under the name Franks). There is a second golf course located in the Park.

Activities will be planned for Saturday mid-morning and Saturday afternoon. We will also have dinner on Saturday evening and an early breakfast on Sunday morning. On Sunday morning, we will say good-bye to one another (and hopefully, some of us will see each other again at the wedding).
